Why Choose Composite Over Timber?
Manufactured from a blend of recycled wood fibre and uPVC, composite decking boards have become an increasingly popular choice for outdoor spaces. Unlike traditional timber decking, which requires sanding, staining and regular treatment to maintain its appearance, composite boards require only routine cleaning once installed to keep them looking their best.
Composite boards offer several additional advantages over timber, including resistance to weathering, moisture, UV fading and surface staining. They also provide a slip resistant, splinter free surface, making them a safe and practical option for outdoor use.
With minimal maintenance requirements and a long service life of ten years or more, composite decking boards are a durable and reliable solution for both domestic and commercial decking projects.
Installation Tips
All of our composite boards are installed using a hidden clip and screw fixing system, creating a clean and professional finish. Before installation, ensure the substructure is stable, level and securely fixed. When laying the boards, allow a small expansion gap between each board to accommodate natural thermal movement.
How Many Boards Do You Need?
To calculate the number of boards required, measure the total decking area in square metres and divide this by the coverage per board. Each board measures 3.6m in length and 140mm in width.
When planning your project, remember to account for spacing between boards created by the clips, as well as an additional 10% to cover cuts and wastage. If you are unsure about quantities, our team is available to provide guidance and support, contact the team today or visit them directly in your local branch.
Composite Decking Boards — What We Stock
Our range of composite decking boards is designed to suit a variety of garden styles and project sizes, whether you're building a small patio area, a wraparound deck, or a full garden transformation.
We stock composite decking in a range of natural wood-effect colours, including grey, brown, and charcoal tones — all of which complement modern and traditional UK garden aesthetics. Boards are available in standard lengths and can be cut to size on site, making them suitable for any project shape or layout.
Our composite boards feature a grooved profile for hidden fixings, giving your finished deck a clean, fastener-free surface. This isn't just better looking, it also prevents water pooling around fixing points, which can accelerate wear over time.
With everything you need available under one roof, whether you’re refurbishing your existing decking or installing a completely new feature in your home, we’re here to make the process simple and seamless. Explore our full range online today.
