Should I use 250mm or 1m wide panels?

250mm boards are easier to carry up a stairwell or into a small bathroom and are more forgiving on an out-of-square wall. 1m boards cover the same area in a quarter of the pieces, so there are fewer joints to seal and the finish reads as a sheet rather than a run of planks. Both take the same trims.

How many wall panels do I need?

Measure the width of each wall to be covered, divide by the panel width — 250mm, 400mm or 1000mm — and round up. Check the panel length covers your wall height: 2.4m and 2.6m are the standard sizes. Add a board for cuts and mistakes, and work out trims by the metre for every corner, edge and joint.

How do you install wall panels?

Panels fix either on adhesive to a flat, dry wall, or on timber battens at roughly 400mm centres where the wall is uneven. Start in a corner with a corner trim, slot each tongue into the last groove and glue or pin as you work across. Cut with a fine-tooth saw, or a sharp knife against a straight edge.

What trims do I need for a panelled wall?

Internal corner trims where two walls meet, external corner or angle trims round an outside corner, edge or end trims where the run stops at a door, window or open wall, H-section joiners to butt two panels mid-wall, and quadrant where panels meet a bath or shower tray. Coving closes the top against the ceiling.

Are PVC wall panels waterproof?

Yes. The board is solid plastic through its thickness, so water cannot soak in, and the tongue-and-groove joint seals each panel to the next. There is no grout line to fail. In a shower or wet room, run a bead of clear silicone into the groove as you fit, and seal where the panels meet the tray, bath or window reveal.

How long do wall panels last?

Our panels carry a 10-year guarantee, and with normal care they last well beyond it. There is no grout to discolour or crack, no sealant line to redo, and the colour is printed under a protective layer rather than painted on. A damaged board can be replaced on its own without disturbing the rest of the wall.

1m Wide Wall Panels

1m wall panels cover a wall in fewer boards than a narrow run, so a shower or bathroom goes up with fewer joints to seal and less cutting. Wide wall panels come in 1000mm widths at 2.4m and 2.6m in marble, stone, grey and oak. For a narrower board, see 250mm wall panels.
