Feature wall or whole room

Black works hardest on one wall rather than four. A black shower end with light boards on the returns keeps the room from closing in, and the dark surface hides splash marks and shampoo residue better than white. A fully black bathroom needs good lighting to avoid feeling like a cupboard.

Matt or gloss

Matt black is the more forgiving of the two: gloss on a dark board reflects every light source and shows fingerprints and drying marks. Black sparkle sits between the two, catching light without becoming a mirror. Dark stone effects give the depth of black without the flatness.

Sizes and trims

250mm, 400mm and 1000mm widths at 2.4m and 2.6m. Black or chrome trims finish a dark wall better than white, which draws a bright line down every corner.
