Roof Lanterns
uPVC roof lanterns bring daylight into a flat-roofed extension, kitchen or bathroom where a wall window would not reach. Sizes run from 1m to 3m in white, grey and anthracite frames. PVC roof lanterns sit on a timber kerb built off the roof deck. Seal with silicones and adhesives.

Choosing Roof Lanterns
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The lantern sits on a timber kerb built up off the roof deck, which lifts the frame clear of standing water and gives the roof covering something to dress up against. The kerb is usually built to the lantern's external frame size — check the manufacturer's figure before you frame it, as it is not always the aperture size.
Usually yes, as part of the work on the roof: forming a new opening and the glazing performance both fall under the regulations, and a new extension is covered anyway. Planning permission is a separate question and often not needed. Confirm with your local building control before ordering.
Solvent cement for solvent weld waste and soil joints — nothing else makes that joint. Grab or panel adhesive for fixing panels and trims to a wall. Low-modulus frame sealant around a window, door or roof lantern. Clear sanitary silicone at a bath, tray or basin edge. uPVC cleaner prepares the surface and removes scuffs.
