Choosing Bedroom Wall Panels
Frequently Asked Questions
Panels fix either on adhesive to a flat, dry wall, or on timber battens at roughly 400mm centres where the wall is uneven. Start in a corner with a corner trim, slot each tongue into the last groove and glue or pin as you work across. Cut with a fine-tooth saw, or a sharp knife against a straight edge.
A grab or panel adhesive, run in vertical beads about 300mm apart on the back of the board, then pressed firmly to a clean, dry wall. On battens you can pin or staple instead. Avoid solvent-based adhesives — they attack PVC. Clear silicone goes in the groove separately for wet areas.
Yes. The heat from a radiator or a heated towel rail is well within what PVC handles, and the panel surface does not mark the way painted plaster does. Leave the normal clearance the radiator needs for airflow, and fix the brackets through the panel into the batten or masonry behind rather than into the board alone.
Yes, and it is a common way to keep a small room from feeling flat — a patterned or darker board on one wall with a plain finish on the rest. Keep to the same thickness across the room so the trims line up, and check the boards are the same height before you start cutting.
Our panels carry a 10-year guarantee, and with normal care they last well beyond it. There is no grout to discolour or crack, no sealant line to redo, and the colour is printed under a protective layer rather than painted on. A damaged board can be replaced on its own without disturbing the rest of the wall.
