9mm Fascia Board

The capping thickness

9mm board goes over existing timber that is still structurally sound, so the roofline is refreshed without stripping back to the rafters and without disturbing the gutter line more than necessary. It is the quicker and cheaper of the two routes.

Check the timber first

Push a screwdriver into the existing fascia at a few points, especially near the ends and below any gutter joint. If it goes in easily the timber is gone, and capping over it leaves the guttering hanging on rot behind a new white face. That is a 16mm full-replacement job instead.

Sizes

3m and 5m lengths in widths from 100mm to 600mm. Measure the existing board face at both ends of the elevation — older rooflines are rarely consistent.
