8mm Wall Panels
8mm wall panels are the mid-weight board, stiff enough to bridge small irregularities in a wall that a thinner sheet would follow. Widths cover 250mm and 400mm at 2.6m in marble, stone, grey and oak, including tile effect wall panels. For the thickest board, see 10mm wall panels.

Choosing 8mm Wall Panels
Frequently Asked Questions
5mm over existing tiles or a flat plastered wall where you do not want to lose room depth. 8mm for general use — stiff enough to bridge small hollows. 10mm where the board goes onto battens or an uneven wall and needs to hold a straight line on its own. All three take the same trims.
Panels fix either on adhesive to a flat, dry wall, or on timber battens at roughly 400mm centres where the wall is uneven. Start in a corner with a corner trim, slot each tongue into the last groove and glue or pin as you work across. Cut with a fine-tooth saw, or a sharp knife against a straight edge.
A grab or panel adhesive, run in vertical beads about 300mm apart on the back of the board, then pressed firmly to a clean, dry wall. On battens you can pin or staple instead. Avoid solvent-based adhesives — they attack PVC. Clear silicone goes in the groove separately for wet areas.
Internal corner trims where two walls meet, external corner or angle trims round an outside corner, edge or end trims where the run stops at a door, window or open wall, H-section joiners to butt two panels mid-wall, and quadrant where panels meet a bath or shower tray. Coving closes the top against the ceiling.
Our panels carry a 10-year guarantee, and with normal care they last well beyond it. There is no grout to discolour or crack, no sealant line to redo, and the colour is printed under a protective layer rather than painted on. A damaged board can be replaced on its own without disturbing the rest of the wall.
