Are PVC wall panels waterproof?

Yes. The board is solid plastic through its thickness, so water cannot soak in, and the tongue-and-groove joint seals each panel to the next. There is no grout line to fail. In a shower or wet room, run a bead of clear silicone into the groove as you fit, and seal where the panels meet the tray, bath or window reveal.

Can wall panels be fitted over existing tiles?

Yes, and it is the most common way they go up. The tiles need to be sound, clean and dry with nothing loose or drummy. Fix the panels on adhesive straight to the tile face, or on battens where the wall is uneven. You lose around 10mm of room depth and save yourself stripping the tiles out.

Do bathroom wall panels go mouldy?

The panel itself is non-porous, so mould has nothing to grow into. In a tiled bathroom the usual culprit is the grout, and there is none here. Mould can still form on the silicone at a tray or bath edge if the room is poorly ventilated, so run an extractor and wipe the seal down from time to time.

What trims do I need for a panelled wall?

Internal corner trims where two walls meet, external corner or angle trims round an outside corner, edge or end trims where the run stops at a door, window or open wall, H-section joiners to butt two panels mid-wall, and quadrant where panels meet a bath or shower tray. Coving closes the top against the ceiling.

How do you clean wall panels?

Warm water and washing-up liquid on a soft cloth handles everyday marks, and a mild bathroom cleaner shifts limescale. Keep abrasive creams, scouring pads and solvent cleaners off the surface, as they dull the print and scratch a gloss finish. There is no grout to scrub and nothing to reseal.

How long do wall panels last?

Our panels carry a 10-year guarantee, and with normal care they last well beyond it. There is no grout to discolour or crack, no sealant line to redo, and the colour is printed under a protective layer rather than painted on. A damaged board can be replaced on its own without disturbing the rest of the wall.

Shower Wall Panels

Shower wall panels line an enclosure or wet room with nothing to grout and no seal to redo. The boards fit straight over existing tiles in 250mm, 400mm and 1000mm widths, in marble, tile effect, sparkle and plain finishes. Close the tray edge with quadrant trims.

Choosing Shower Wall Panels

Sealing an enclosure properly

Inside a shower the joints do the work. Run a bead of clear silicone into each tongue-and-groove as you fit, close the tray or bath edge with quadrant, and seal where the boards meet a window reveal or the enclosure frame. Done that way there is no grout line to fail and nothing to regrout.

Fewer joints is better here

A 1m board covers a standard shower wall in one or two pieces rather than four, which means fewer seams inside the wettest part of the room. On a patterned or marble finish it also keeps the print running rather than breaking every 250mm.
